The HKC1000 system has multiple advantages over all other types of carpet cleaning and care.  Here are some of those advantages based on the two most used types of cleaning in the commercial care market.

HKC1000 vs Truckmount Hot Water Wand Extraction

HKC1000
Portable System

Truckmount System

Portability

  • Can be easily moved throughout your facility
  • Truckmount systems are limited to specific locations for entry into the facility.

Effects on your facility

  • 2 extension cords and a 35′ hose from the portable vacuum extractor to the rotary extractor machine.
  • Several hundred feet of hose routed from their truck through facility
  •  Routes include: fire escapes, lobbies, hallways and doorways to the area to be cleaned.
  •  Employees and customers must navigate the hoses creating a potential safety hazard and uncomfortable atmosphere.

Cleaning capability

  •  2 extension cords, 35′ of vacuum hose, portable extractor and the rotary extractor machine.
  • Several hundred feet of hose routed from their truck through facility
  •  Routes include: fire escapes, lobbies, hallways and doorways to the area to be cleaned.
  •  Employees and customers must navigate the hoses creating a potential safety hazard and uncomfortable atmosphere.

Dry times

  • 1 to 1.5 hours
  • 6 hours to 24 hours

HKC1000 vs Bonnet Encapsulation Cleaning

HKC1000 System

Encapsulation System

Method used to apply water/cleaning solution
  • Hot water is carried via low pressure water pump from the extractor to the rotary cleaning head.
  • Water flows through holes in the rotary head and through the non-absorbent to the carpet using gravity.
  • The non-absorbent pad agitates carpet.
  • The multiple vacuum heads in the rotary head extracts the water from the carpet.
  • The carpet is thoroughly vacuumed.
  • The carpet is pre-sprayed with encapsulation chemical and allowed settle for 15 minutes.
  • A bonnet machine using pads or a grooming brush is used to work the encapsulation solution into the carpet.
  • The carpet is allowed to dry.
  • The carpet is vacuumed to remove the encapsulation solution and soil.
Recommended for High Traffic Areas
  • Yes.  Hot water extraction is considered the best deep cleaning solution for soiled and heavy soiled carpet.
  • No.  It is normally recommended as an interim cleaning method.
  •  The cleaning solution isn’t rinsed from the carpet.
  • Hot water extraction is recommended to be a part of any encapsulation cleaning program to rinse the encapsulation solution from the carpet to reduce soap and chemcial buildup.

Dry Time

  • 1 to 1.5 hours.
  • 15 minutes to 1 hour.

Carpet Longevity

  • Hot water extraction can prolong the life of the carpet as it deep cleans the carpet.
  • It is the most effective way to remove and rinse the cleaning solution from the carpet.
  •
  • High rotation speeds of bonnet/encapsulation machines using brushes and synthetic fiber pads can fray and damage carpet.
